Pat Burns Seminar

This seminar is appropriate for dog and handler teams capable of running multiple marks and blind retrieves. Pat will facilitate setups to challenge each team, advance your handling skills, and address training challenges.

Pat brings 40 years of experience, including working with Handjem Retrievers to train champions like NAFC Grady and NFC Mickey. Mentored by legends Rex Carr and Mike Lardy, Pat developed a balanced, dog-first training philosophy that blends effective communication with respect. Through Elite Retriever Training, he now coaches handlers, sharing his expertise to create champions and strengthen dog-handler partnerships.

Pat Nolan Seminar

Seminar Dates : June 5 - 7, 2026

For dogs capable of running cold blinds and multiple marks. Pat Nolan brings a diverse training background, working with dogs in retriever sports, hunting, television and film commercials, as well as military and police applications.

Pat will focus on maximizing each dog’s learning experience, with emphasis on memory development, self-control, skill building, mental flexibility, and training in drive. These concepts will help prepare handlers and dogs for the demands of advanced competition.

** Join us Saturday Night for a happy hour and appetizer social as we welcome special guest Connie Cleveland-Nolan for a panel discussion with Pat. They will explore training and preparing dogs for versatile careers and success across multiple sports!

Cancellations 59 Days or Less Before the Seminar

  • If you cancel your Working Spot within 59 days of the seminar's start date, you will be eligible for a full refund, minus credit card processing fees, only if the spot is filled.

  • We will make every reasonable effort to advertise and fill your spot, but if the spot cannot be filled within this time frame, you will not be eligible for a refund.
